10 tweetable quotes from some of my favorites books

Part of the process of becoming Odara includes having very cold-dark-scary days. The last week was tough and I hope to be ready to share it one day. I’m not ready yet. For now, I’ll just drop the knowledge of some my favorite authors and books.

#1 By Dossie Easton and Janet W.Hardy in the book “The Ethical Slut”:

“We have never met anyone who had low self-esteem at the moment of orgasm”. #TheEthicalSlut

#2 Also by Dossie Easton and Janet W. Hardy:

“Jealousy is an emotion that arises inside you, no person and no behavior can make you jealous”. #TheEthicalSlut

#3 By Esther Perel in the book “Mating in Captivity”:

“Love doesn’t erase the past, but it makes the future different”. #MatingInCaptivity by Esther Perel

#4 Also by Esther Perel, a quote from the same book:

“It’s hard to feel attracted to someone who has abandoned her/his sense of autonomy”. #MatingInCaptivity

#5 By Scott Adams in the book “How To Fail at Almost Everything an Still Wing Big”:

Happiness is health plus freedom. #ScottAdams

#6 Another pearl of wisdom from Scott Adams:

“Adults are starved for a kind word”.

#7 By Marshall B. Rosenberg in the book “Nonviolent Communication — a language of life”:

“Your smile is a message of your good will. Your smile brightens the lives of all who see it”.

#8 And the Nonviolent Communication master speaks again:

“We accept full responsibility for our own intentions and actions, but not for the feelings of others”.

#9 This quote is from the classic movie “Buckaro Banzai” (which I have never watched…lol) that I found on @Arianna Huffington’s book “Thrive”:

“No matter where you go, there you are”. #Thrive

#10 I’ll finish it up with the brilliant Neil Strauss, author of “The Truth — An Uncomfortable Book About Relationships”:

“A life is just one letter apart from a lie”.

Wishing you a Happy Tuesday from the bottom of my heart!

Peace & ❤ — always.
