It took me a few years to stumble upon your article, and I’m so glad I finally did.

Thanks to Knight Center who had your article suggested as a resource at the course “Product strategies for journalism: How to align editorial, audience, business, and technology.”

I’m a Brazilian journalist and I’ve been looking for a career transition in the past year. So far, I have been taking courses in data analysis and business development.

I’m a Bilingual (English and Portuguese) professional with 10+ years of Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Journalism, and

Communication experience maximizing diverse companies’ digital presence, brand exposure, engagement, and leads

acquisition through digital and multi-channel marketing campaigns.

In your article, you suggested that “journalist professionals need to understand that PM is and should be a role they are prepared to do, and where they can thrive”. What would you suggest for someone like me who is ready for this next career move and facing job roles that require experience as a PM? What would be a great start for me?
